How this calculator works
Numbers come from your browser’s cryptographically secure random number generator, not a predictable formula, so every number in the range is equally likely.
With “no repeats” on, each number can be drawn only once, like drawing raffle tickets. You can’t draw more unique numbers than the range contains.
To draw again, change the re-roll number. Results are also shown sorted for easy checking.
Everything happens in your browser; nothing is stored, so keep a screenshot if you need a record of a draw.
Worked example
Picking 3 winners from 250 entries
- Set minimum 1, maximum 250, count 3, no repeats.
- Each entry number has the same 1-in-250 chance on the first draw.
- Match the numbers to your numbered entry list.
Questions people ask
Is this truly random?
It uses the operating system’s secure randomness via the Web Crypto API, the same source used for encryption keys, which is unpredictable for practical purposes.
Can I use it for a giveaway?
Yes. For transparency, number your entries in advance and record the draw on screen.
Can it generate decimals or negative numbers?
It generates whole numbers, and the range can include negative values. For decimals, generate integers and divide, such as 1 to 1000 ÷ 100.
