Privacy policy
The short version
Everything you type into our calculators and text tools is processed in your browser. It is not sent to us or stored on our servers.
We use Google Analytics to count visits and show ads from Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies and similar technologies to show ads and measure them. You can control personalised ads, as explained below.
What we collect
Calculator and tool inputs: none. Calculations and text processing happen on your device.
Server logs: like most websites, our hosting provider automatically records basic technical data such as IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time, to keep the site secure and working. These logs are kept for a limited period.
Emails you send us: if you contact us, we keep your message and email address only to reply and to fix any issue you report.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to learn which pages people find useful, for example how many visitors each calculator gets and which countries they come from. It uses cookies and records information such as pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser. It never receives the numbers or text you enter into our tools.
You can block Google Analytics with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. Visitors in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland are asked for consent before analytics cookies are used.
Advertising and cookies
We use Google AdSense to show ads. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this website and other websites.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to know what personal information is collected, to request deletion, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for targeted advertising. To opt out of personalised Google ads, use My Ad Center. For any other request, contact us.
Children
This site is intended for adults and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Our pages link to official sources such as the IRS and city tax departments. Those sites have their own privacy policies, which we don’t control.
